I just had someone suggest using TinkerTool on my Mac to disable Mac OSX from creating hidden Finder .DS_Store files on network volumes. Anyone tried this? It would seem like this would solve a lot of the problems that people are having with AFP, right? I haven't tried it yet and wanted to see what people thought here first. I am using a mixed AFP/SMB environment and thus far haven't had major problems, but I suppose that could change in a minute.
